Providing cyber security and cyber defence solutions, InfoGuard has been providing comprehensive and innovative solutions to its clients since 1988. Their team of experts deliver state-of-the-art cloud, managed and cyber defence services from their ISO 27001 certified Cyber Defence Center in Switzerland. Working from Bern and Zug, InfoGuard´s 140 security specialists provide information security for more than 300 Swiss customers. Naturally these customers include leading banks, insurance and industry companies but also include service and health care providers as well as public administration, amongst others.

Challenge

For InfoGuard, the challenge - and solution - were clear. Some InfoGuard team members had previous experience of using Salesforce and they wanted InfoGuard to also have all of the benefits they knew Salesforce could bring. InfoGuard had run an earlier project with Nexell and were happy with the project and results. Therefore, when the time came to implement Salesforce for InfoGuard the choice of partner was clear: Nexell.
Naturally, the security of the data in InfoGuard’s Salesforce system would be of the utmost importance. It’s fair to say that InfoGuard’s demands and expectations are even higher than for businesses in other industries.
InfoGuard already had an ERP solution in place and wanted to retain it.

Solution

InfoGuard approached Nexell at the beginning of October 2018 and Salesforce’s Lightning version of Sales Cloud has been live since January 2019.
Despite the historical relationship between InfoGuard and Nexell the project was approached as a new and clean installation. InfoGuard’s previous experience with Salesforce was with Classic, and this time they went straight onto the Lightning version.
From the AppExchange the Hubspot Salesforce integration app was installed for InfoGuard. This enabled good synchronization, but because InfoGuard also required customized fields to be added to Hubspot, the fields also had to be added in Salesforce. Nexell made the various modifications and aligned both Hubspot and Salesforce in order to enable seamless synchronization. Nexell made multiple changes and customizations to adapt Salesforce to InfoGuard’s processes.
The ERP solution has been retained, with Salesforce functioning as the master system. As part of this solution, Products and Price Book have been integrated which was essential to be able to create new opportunities in Salesforce. The opportunities are synchronized with the existing ERP system and Nexell worked with InfoGuard’s ERP partner to make the synchronization possible.
InfoGuard’s sales staff are also using Salesforce on their mobiles.

Result

The key result is that InfoGuard is now managing its business relationships with the vision and clarity provided with Salesforce. The required information is synchronized with their ERP system and available in one place via one, customized interface. Integration with a new ERP system will be added in the near future.
Speed is one of the vital tools in the cyber defence armory and using Salesforce´s mobile app allows staff to be fast and flexible.
Crucially, support for two-factor authentication has been added and means there has been no compromise on security.
Many will tell you that you should never return to your first love, however this time the story has a happy ending. InfoGuard team members returned, not only to Salesforce, but to Salesforce via Nexell. Now they find themselves fully informed, empowered and prepared to meet and anticipate the needs of their customers.
